It's Friday, and Craig Jones (Ice Cube) has just lost his job. His hyperactive, weed-loving friend Smokey (Chris Tucker) owes money to a local drug dealer, and the two spend the day trying to figure out how to get the cash, encountering the eccentric characters of their South Central L.A. neighborhood.
Rotten Tomatoes calls it a film with "vibrant (albeit consistently crass) humor and the charming, energetic performances of its leads". It's widely regarded as one of the funniest movies of the 90s.
